Pedestrian TV launches queer content extravaganza for Mardi Gras
Pedestrian Television is launching a weekend of queer content to celebrate Mardi Gras ahead of the annual parade this weekend.
The content, which will be available live and on demand via 9Now, includes Out TV shows, a new Aussie LGBTQIA+ interview series, queer music playlists, and original queer comedy from the Two Queers Comedy Festival. The comedy features Nina Oyama, Lou Wall, Jenna Suffern, and Brendan Hancock.
On Saturday night, Pedestrian Television’s Pride Party will feature music from G Flip, Dyan Tai, Jawbreakers, Touch Sensitive, PNAU, and Peking Duk. On Sunday, the channel will air a marathon of season 2 of Call Me Mother, a Canadian drag competition show. The weekend will conclude with the launch of a new show, VA Media’s My First Time, a series showcasing queer Aussies like Aurelia St Clair and Kween Kong.
Pedestrian Television channel manager, Alex Arnott, said: “Pride and PEDESTRIAN TELEVISION are a match made in queer heaven. We’re stoked to be bringing a range of content from Australia and beyond to uplift LGBTQIA+ stories and add to the magic and mayhem.”
