Honda appoints ex-Adidas, Kathmandu customer chief Eva Barrett as marketing, CX GM after agency shake-up
Honda Australia has appointed Eva Barrett, former marketing and customer chief at adidas and Kathmandu, as General Manager Brand, Marketing and Customer Experience.
Barrett replaces Belinda Cusworth, who left Honda last month after a three-year stint as GM of customer experience. Honda recently overhauled its marketing and agency model, dropping Zenith Media, Wavemaker and TRP to appoint Howatson+Company as its new media and creative agency partner. Honda also created a new in-house agency in partnership with Lution.
Barrett brings a wealth of experience from her time working with brands in Australia and Europe, including a stint as chief customer officer at Kathmandu and Ingenia Communities Group. In Europe, Barrett held roles such as global head of brand comms and sports marketing for adidas in Germany, global head of brand marketing and campaigns for Philips in Amsterdam, and global brand director for the Rosemount and Lindemans brands at Carlton & United Breweries based in London.
In February, Terri Golder was appointed as head of marketing for Honda Australia. In May, Honda appointed Carolyn McMahon as VP for Australia and New Zealand, the first instance of an individual holding both country titles. Robert Thorp returned to Honda Australia as general manager of Automotive after a short stint as CEO of automotive digital retailing company iMotor.
