JCDecaux unveils 'Aspire', a first-of-its-kind digital large format portrait network - with ESG credentials

JCDecaux has launched 'Aspire', a digital large format portrait sign in Sydney designed to to take smaller format campaigns to the big screen.

Aligned with JCDecaux's commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, the Aspire network has been manufactured using recyclable stainless-steel cladding, while the garden area beneath the site has been replanted with native grasses. Additionally, the Aspire has been engineered to optimise energy efficiency by using direct green energy sources, thereby reducing electricity consumption.

This screen marks a first for the JCDecaux group worldwide, setting a new standard in advertising infrastructure. The Aspire screen was designed by internationally renowned Australian architects, Tzannes, and is located in the inner-city suburb of Pyrmont, as part of JCDecaux's contract with Sydney Trains.

Max Eburne, Chief Commercial Officer, JCDecaux Australia and New Zealand, said, "This unique new format sets a new standard when it comes to architecturally designed advertising infrastructure. With its standard portrait ratio, it will be easier for brands to take their small format campaigns to the big screen, bringing them to life across the Digital Large Format Aspire network."

The Aspire network aligns with JCDecaux's commitment to environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles, using recyclable stainless-steel cladding and direct green energy sources. The Aspire screen targets urban professionals, with 74% of audiences being pedestrian and 67% being business professionals.

Nine more Aspire sites are approved for roll-out across the eastern seaboard in locations including Sydney, Melbourne, and Brisbane. JCDecaux plans to expand the Aspire network, with a goal to initially establish 30 locations across the eastern seaboard.

Eburne added, "This design is part of our ongoing commitment to leading the industry in creating new and more sustainable opportunities for advertisers."
