Sorrell's S4 Capital lands in Melbourne with BizTech deal
Sir Martin Sorrell's S4 Capital has struck a deal for Melbourne-based BizTech, giving the company a foothold in Australia.
Under proposed terms, S4's MediaMonks content arm will merge with BizTech, a specialist in Adobe work. The firm reports revenues of approximately A$15 million and employs almost 100 people in five locations - Melbourne, Sydney, Toronto, Moscow and Kazakhstan capital Astana.
"We are delighted with the proposed deal which will bring Michael, Tim, and the entire BizTech team to the S4 Capital family," said Sorrell in a statement. "Their highly specialised Adobe expertise and close-knit client relationships make BizTech the perfect partner to accelerate our business in Australia and beyond."
Victor Knaap, CEO of MediaMonks said the deal "will represent many things for MediaMonks. We will be effectively marrying engineering, design, and content for a new era of creativity. But we’re not just broadening our client offer, we’re growing our network that will span from Mexico to Melbourne and welcome a brand new super crew of Adobe experts."
BizTech CEO Michael Patishman said the merger enables "a broader offering for clients". Founder and CTO Tim Goodman said it means the company "can expand our offer globally".
