ANZ growth on the horizon.
Intrepid Travel appoints Yvette Thompson as general manager sales & marketing ANZ
Intrepid Travel, a B Corp-certified leader in responsible travel, has promoted Yvette Thompson into the newly created role of General Manager Sales and Marketing ANZ.
This role reflects the significant growth of the ANZ region. In her new position, Thompson will oversee the entire sales and marketing function for ANZ, including industry and partnerships sector.
Thompson brings 15 years of industry experience to the role and has been with Intrepid Travel for over a decade, starting in business development and sales before moving on to partnerships and marketing.
Managing Director of Intrepid Travel ANZ, Brett Mitchell, said, "Yvette has been with the company for over a decade and has made an incredible contribution to growing the ANZ region and representing the brand, our values, and our culture. We had a huge number of excellent applicants for the role, and after an extensive search, I’m excited to announce this internal promotion."
The creation of this role supports Intrepid's 2030 Strategy, which aims to double its global customer base to 600,000, achieve revenues of $1.3bn, and contribute 1 per cent of revenue to purpose initiatives. The company also plans to expand into areas outside of tours, including accommodation and publishing.

Thompson will commence her new role on 1 May. Intrepid is now seeking a replacement for Thompson's previous role - Head of Sales & Partnerships ANZ.
