Joan Warner steps down as Commercial Radio Australia CEO
Long-time CEO for Commercial Radio Australia Joan Warner has announced that she will be stepping down after 20 years with the industry body. A search is underway for her replacement, with a new CEO expected to be named in the first quarter of 2022.

Commercial Radio Australia CEO Joan Warner has announced her plans to step down early next year.
The search for a replacement CEO will commence immediately, with a new leader for the industry body expected to be announced in first quarter of 2022.
Warner said she advised the CRA of her intention to step down on December 31, however, the board requested she remain CEO until 31 March 2022.
“We have been fortunate to have Joan leading our industry as CEO of Commercial Radio Australia and we are very pleased that she has agreed to extend her time with CRA to allow for an orderly transition to a new CEO,” Grant Blackley, chair of CRA said.
“Joan has had a substantial and meaningful impact on CRA and the industry over the past two decades and has worked tirelessly to advance the strategic imperatives for a healthy and vibrant radio industry."
