Hot stock Nvidia reports record revenue, citing surge in demand for accelerated computing and AI

NVIDIA has reported its financial results for Q4 and fiscal 2024, revealing a record quarterly revenue of $22.1 billion, a 22% increase from Q3 and a 265% increase from the same period last year.

The company's Data Center revenue for the quarter was also a record at $18.4 billion, up 27% from Q3 and up 409% from a year ago. Full-year revenue for fiscal 2024 was $60.9 billion, a 126% increase.

"Accelerated computing and generative AI have hit the tipping point. Demand is surging worldwide across companies, industries and nations," said Jensen Huang, founder and CEO of NVIDIA. He attributed the company's success to the surge in demand for accelerated computing and generative AI across various industries and nations.

Huang also highlighted the diverse drivers powering their Data Center platform, including demand for data processing, training and inference from large cloud-service providers and GPU-specialised ones, as well as from enterprise software and consumer internet companies. NVIDIA will pay its next quarterly cash dividend of $0.04 per share on March 27, 2024, to all shareholders of record on March 6, 2024.
