Wavemaker brings back Matt Hofmeyer to handle L'Oreal
Wavemaker has brought back Matt Hofmeyer to handle the L'Oreal account. Hofmeyer had been leading the agency's Hong Kong office and was previously Managing Director of Wavemaker Adelaide. Now he'll operate out of Melbourne as Client Managing Partner for the $70m account.
Wavemaker said Hofmeyer's appointment follows major growth in the L'Oreal business and expanding remits across other clients. As such, Hofmeyer replaces Gabriela Stewart who becomes Client Managing Partner across Jetstar, Australia Post, DoorDash, Honda, Tata and IG Markets.
Hofmeyer will report to Melbourne Managing Director Daniel Isaac and Wavemaker ANZ CEO Peter Vogel.
"It's great to be back in Australia and to be joining the exceptional Wavemaker L’Oréal team, an amazing group of people who are delivering really exciting work and driving brand growth," said Hofmeyer. "I couldn’t be happier to help shape this next chapter."
Wavemaker, which has a relationship with L'Oreal across global markets, won the account locally in October 2021, taking the business from Carat.
