Myer is pitching its search account with holdcos and independents vying for the business.
The retailer couldn’t comment on the procurement-led review or how much of its performance budget is allocated to SEM/SEO, but the account is thought to be worth up to $10m in spend per annum.
Alongside an in-house team, Melbourne-based independent agency Full Measure Digital currently handles much of Myers search business and its work, alongside SEO tech partner Long Tail UX, in which Woolworths has a stake, won gold at the Apac Search Awards earlier this month.
Myer’s main media account is held by Essence, after WPP folded Ikon into AKQA Media last year, before rolling the two into Essence under Pat Crowley’s stewardship.
The main media account is not under review.
