The Trade Desk appoints Seven's James Bayes as new ANZ boss
Adtech firm The Trade Desk has hired James Bayes as general manager ANZ.
Bayes will report to Mitch Waters, senior VP for South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand. He replaces former GM Clay Gill, who exited the business after a six months stint to join IPG Mediabrands' Cadreon.
Bayes brings nearly twenty years of experience in senior digital, sales leadership, integration and media agency roles in Australia, United Kingdom and the United States.
“James is the right leader to drive the next phase of growth in Australia and New Zealand for The Trade Desk,” said Waters.
“TV is being redefined in real-time and we believe James is perfectly placed to help shape a future where both broadcasters and advertisers win. His background will help build deeper links with broadcasters and publishers, while triggering excitement with our customers with what we can deliver together.”
He joins The Trade Desk from Seven Network where he led all aspects of the company’s digital commercial operations.
"Having worked side-by-side for a number of years, I am delighted to join The Trade Desk at this transformational time for the industry in Australia and New Zealand," said Bayes.
“It is exciting to be joining a company at the forefront of data-driven advertising, which has a vision, roadmap and commitment to improve the advertising ecosystem and create lasting advantage for our partners.”
