Thinkerbell bankrolls employee creative project, launches rotisserie chook-inspired 'Bachelors Handbag'

Thinkerbell is making good on a promise to back a new creative venture pitched to founders via the indie creative agency's 'Pot of Gold Initiative', today launching the first product from creative collective Size 11 - 'The Bachelor's Handbag'.

Size 11 consists of Thinkerbell team members Vince Usher (Lead Brand Thinker), Jack Burton (Lead Tinker), Lucas Fowler (Lead Tinker) and Taylor York (National Head Earned Thinker), with profits from the new rotisserie chicken-inspired bag to be split evenly between the collective and Thinkerbell.

The cross body 'Bachelors Handbag' nods to Australia's rotisserie chicken culture, with the clear plastic hot chook vessel having become synonymous with tradies and bachelors alike. The bag features a bespoke satin strap, a durable thermoplastic polymer construction, a quick access seal, and a classic roast chicken flame design.

The product, which is sans hot-chicken, has been made available to purchase from bachelorshandbag.com for $34.99 (+GST) plus delivery costs.

Creative Director of Size 11 and Lead Brand Thinker at Thinkerbell, Vince Usher, said: “We can’t claim to have invented the colloquialism, you’ve gotta thank the folks of Deniliquin for that… But we’re unashamed to say that our bringing “The Bachelor’s Handbag” to life as streetwear’s latest grail piece, is up there with the greatest feats of Australian design. Just you wait, it’s bound to be featured alongside Vegemite, Hills’ Hoist and WiFi, in the Powerhouse Museum some day.”

The launch has made a wave in the media, with appearances on The Today Show and WSFM, and a review by Man of Many seeing over 5,000 IG DM shares.
