Laneway Festival 2025 breaks records with Sydney and Melbourne sellout on day 1 of ticket sales

The 2025 Laneway Festival has achieved a historic milestone, selling out in Sydney and Melbourne on the first day of general sale for the first time in festival's 20-year history, with limited tickets remaining for the Brisbane, Adelaide, and Perth events.

The festival's co-founders, Danny Rogers and Jerome Borazio, attribute the high demand to the talent of the artists in the 2025 lineup and the hard work of the festival team. The lineup includes artists such as Charli XCX, Beabadoobee, Clairo, BICEP, Remi Wolf, Djo, and Barry Can’t Swim, among others.

"We are beyond grateful and somewhat lost for words. This incredible response is a testament to the extraordinary talent and depth of the artists on the 2025 lineup and the hard work of the Laneway Festival team. It’s so affirming to see such enthusiasm from music fans across Australia and New Zealand, and we can’t wait to deliver an unforgettable experience in February," said Rogers and Borazio.

Originating as a street party in Melbourne, the Laneway Festival has evolved over 20 years into a major touring festival in Australia and New Zealand. The festival is known for bringing the world’s hottest breakthrough artists to Australia and New Zealand for the first time.

The 2025 sellout is a significant achievement for the festival, demonstrating the continued appetite for live music events and the strength of the festival's brand. The success of the 2025 Laneway Festival also underscores the importance of a well-curated lineup in attracting audiences.

As the festival continues to grow and evolve, the 2025 sellout in Sydney and Melbourne is a promising sign for future events. With the festival's reputation for showcasing breakthrough artists and creating unforgettable experiences, music fans in Australia and New Zealand can look forward to more exciting events in the coming years.
