Tennis Australia has named Omnicom Media Group’s PHD Australia as its media agency of record, effective immediately, after a competitive tender.
PHD Melbourne will work with Tennis Australia to boost the popularity of the Australian Open and the ATP Cup, as well as broadly increasing the take up of tennis.
PHD has had links to Tennis Australia for years, working with ANZ Bank, a major sponsor of the Australian Open for the past nine years, as well as Carlton & United Brewery’s Peroni brand, the official beer partner of the Australian Open.
Josie Brown, Tennis Australia’s Chief Insights and Marketing Officer said PHD's "tools and technology solutions to help us get to market faster and act with great agility on data trends” had helped swing the decision.
