Land Rover Australia has appointed former Moët Hennessy brand and marketing leader, Gavin Merriman, as its new Communications and Client Experience Director.
Merriman commences the new role - which has been vacant for a year - on Monday 18 March, reporting to local MD, Penny Ferguson.
In a LinkedIn post, Merriman said it had been “six incredible years” working for Moet Hennessy in Sydney and Singapore, initially as head of consumer A/NZ, before three years in Singapore as head of consumer Asia-Pacific.
“It has been a real honour to work on so many iconic brands with such brilliant people on some truly impactful/transformational projects. Thank you to everyone who's been a part of it,” he said. “It is absolutely wonderful to be back in Sydney and I can’t wait to get started with my next opportunity leading marketing with Jaguar Land Rover Australia.”
Before joining Moët’s parent group, LVMH, Merriman spent two-and-a-half years as global head of marketing and e-commerce at online beauty brand, Nude by Nature.
His resume also includes roles such as head of e-commerce and digital for BWS, group head of multichannel e-commerce at Metcash, and digital and e commerce director at Universal Music Australia.
Jaguar Land Rover Australia is preparing for a significant year in 2024, following the recent launch of its fully electric Range Rover. The Range Rover Sport continues to exceed expectations with availability improving across Australia, and the Defender family will grow with the addition of the 130 Outbound model.
