The Media Federation of Australia has named Sophie Price, MediaCom’s Chief Strategy Officer, and Chris Colter, Initiative’s Chief Strategy Officer, as the new Co-Chairs of the MFA Awards and MFA EX.
Price and Colter take over from Joe Lunn, who left the role after joining Uber as APAC Head of Media earlier this year.
“In Sophie and Chris, we have two passionate and energetic leaders who will continue to elevate and demonstrate the effectiveness of media agencies’ work, and our ability to deliver long-lasting change,” Sophie Madden, MFA CEO, said. The MFA is the peak body representing media communication companies.
Colter said both the MFA Awards and the MFA Ex conference have sat on a pedestal for him, and he was looking forward to promoting “world class” Australian media strategy and implementation.
Price said the MFA program has had a “transformational effect” on her own career and she wanted to shine a light on high quality work.
Lunn had been a part of the MFA Awards Committee for seven years, including five years as Chair. Madden thanked him for his passion and commitment.
“In leading the revamp of the MFA Awards program to focus around effectiveness and adding greater rigour to the selection of finalists, and in designing the MFA EX conference program in 2019 and 2021, Joe made a lasting impact on our industry while always being positive, passionate and undaunted. We wish him well in his new role,” she said.
