Beiersdorf pitches $15m media account in Australia
German multinational Beiersdorf is reviewing its media and strategy account, estimated to be worth $15 million. Three holdcos are understood to be on the pitch list with OMD defending.

The global multinational behind skin care brands like Nivea and Elastoplast – Beiersdorf – is pitching its media and strategy account, estimated to be worth up to $15 million.
Omnicom’s OMD is the incumbent, and it’s understood Dentsu, through Carat, and GroupM also have a spot on the roster.
OMD has held the account for close to 20 years, after extending its 14-year partnership in 2017. In October last year, Beiersdorf handed its global media strategy consulting brief to WPP, which beat Publicis Groupe and Dentsu in the process.
Beiersdorf declined to comment on the media pitch, which a spokesperson described as “confidential”. OMD also declined to comment.
In August last year, Beiersdorf appointed Red Havas to its social, comms and PR account after a pitch.
