ALDI and BMF push the gravy boat out in 2024 Christmas Campaign

ALDI has taken the wrappers off its 2024 Christmas campaign, aptly named 'Go A Little Extra'. The campaign created with BMF encourages Australians to go the extra mile in their festive celebrations without breaking the bank.

The creative centres around a couple who literally go overboard and push the gravy boat out in their preparations for Christmas lunch.

“Every Christmas, even those of us who plan to keep it low key can't help but splash out on little indulgences, festive flair, and the finishing touches that make Christmas feel like Christmas. It’s the time of year when everyone ups their game, and ALDI is no exception,” Jenny Melhuish, Marketing Director at ALDI Australia, said.

To assist Australians in their festive endeavours, ALDI Australia will launch the 'Festive Extra-nator', a Christmas recipe generator, on Thursday 14 November. The 'Festive Extra-nator' will feature over 30 bespoke recipes and will be available on the ALDI website.

David Fraser, co-ECD at BMF, also commented on the tendency for Christmas plans to escalate and ALDI's role in helping people bring something extra to the table.

“Christmas plans tend to escalate pretty quickly. So, it’s great that ALDI is making sure everyone can still bring something extra to the table this year, whether it’s a big ol’ turkey or just a little gravy boat,” he said.

The campaign was created in partnership with BMF, Zenith Media, and Ogilvy PR. It will be broadcast across TV, cinema, radio, OOH, social, owned channels, and earned media.
