Adobe launches new app, integrates Firefly AI into mobile workflows

Adobe has launched a beta version of its new mobile app, Adobe Express, for Android and iOS devices. The app integrates Adobe's Firefly generative AI models into mobile workflows, aiming to enhance ideation and design.

This move is set to provide Creative Cloud subscribers with the ability to access and edit designs from Photoshop and Illustrator directly within the Adobe Express mobile app.

The app features Firefly Generative Fill, Text to Image, Text Effects, and video editing features. Adobe Express is designed to cater to a wide range of users, including solopreneurs, students, teachers, small businesses, and creative professionals. Key features of the app include Text to Image, Generative Fill, Text Effects, Video editing, Expanded Content and Templates, Quick Actions, Content Scheduler, Brand Kits, and Collaboration.

Adobe Express extends Creative Cloud capabilities to mobile, allowing members to access, work on, and edit creative assets from Photoshop and Illustrator directly within the app. Adobe Firefly generative AI is designed to be safe for commercial use and includes Content Credentials on assets created using features powered by Adobe Firefly.

"Millions of users around the world are turning to Adobe Express to create more content than ever before – more than doubling the number of creations ever made in just the last year. The new Adobe Express mobile app puts Firefly – our generative AI models – front and center, giving users unprecedented ways to create videos, designs, photos and images that stand out," said Adobe Senior Vice President, Adobe Express and Digital Media Services, Govind Balakrishnan.

The new Adobe Express mobile app in beta is available for free on Android and iOS devices, with premium features available at no cost during the beta period.
