Zenith: Australians spending more time consuming media on mobiles

Australians spent an average of 10 more minutes a day consuming media on their phones year on year, according to Zenith's latest Media Consumption Forecasts.
At face value, consumption of other media dropped, but that is because the agency's survey questions respondents on traditional formats, such as print for news and magazines, and linear TV rather than digital formats.
Globally, Zenith suggests that the average person will spend a whopping 479 minutes a day consuming media this year, driven by increasing use of mobile. That's eight hours a day, every day. The firm predicts that will rise to 495 minutes by 2021.
