Matt Houltham, the former CEO of Havas Media Australia and New Zealand, has been named as the first Chief Marketing Officer of research tech platform Glow.
Houltham left Havas Media in December last year after five years and prior to that was Managing Director of Naked Communications Melbourne. He has been on Glow’s advisory board for the past two years, but has taken on the newly-created role of global CMO.
Glow is a market research company that claims to “democratise access to insights” by making data more accessible and transparent.
Houltham said he had spent the first half of 2021 providing consulting to start-ups and agencies, and Glow represented a big jump after two decades in agencies. But he added he is looking forward to working with emerging businesses.
Glow Founder and CEO Tim Clover said Houltham represents a key hire as the platform aims to expand internationally.
Last week, Havas Media’s chairman, Mike Wilson, who worked closely with Houltham at the group and previously at Naked, announced he will exiting the business eight years after launching the ANZ unit.
