Early bird tickets on sale for SXSW Sydney 2024, public voting open for Session Select
Early bird tickets are now on sale for SXSW Sydney 2024, offering discounts on tickets before the event's full schedule is announced.
The event, supported by the NSW Government through its tourism and major events agency, Destination NSW, is set to take place from 14-20 October. The festival is offering discounted prices from last year's edition, with potential conference speakers to be announced as public voting for Session Select begins.
The festival is offering a 40% discount for attendees aged under 25 for Tech & Innovation, Music, Screen and Game Festival Badges. There are group discounts for 10 badges or more and American Express Cardholders can access an exclusive additional 10% discount (saving up to $139) until April 23rd.
SXSW Sydney 2024 Platinum Badge holders will also gain access to inclusions this year, along with the same primary access to all SXSW Sydney events, across conference, games, music and screen festivals.
The early bird tickets are available as Session Select public voting begins, enabling individuals and groups to submit proposals to be voted on by the broader SXSW Sydney community.
Over 1,000 thought-leaders have registered for Session Select, from 35 countries and organisations like Google, Meta, leonardo.ai, Canva, Xero, Linktree, Qantas, Virgin Australia, Atlassian, Reddit, Tourism Australia, McKinsey, Culture Amp, TikTok, Accenture, Amazon Web Services, Tenmile, Coinbase, WPP, Dentsu, DDB Sydney, Intrepid Travel, PWC, KPMG, Deloitte, Getty Images, and institutions like UTS, The University of Sydney, QUT, UNSW, UQ, Harvard, UC Berkeley, Monash, Western Sydney University, Swinburne, Garvan Institute of Medical Research and the Australian Human Rights Commission.
"Our creative community has exceeded even my most optimistic expectations - the quality of the submissions we have received is outstanding. Thanks to all the dreamers, doers and innovators out there," said SXSW Sydney’s Managing Director, Colin Daniels. "The inquiring minds and provocative thinkers SXSW Sydney attract are what makes this event so exhilarating and satisfying. Our programming team has its work cut out!"
