- French AI company Scibids has opened an ANZ office, hiring James Whitbread as its first country manager.
- The company uses algorithms to optimise marketing spend and returns.
A French company that uses artificial intelligence to improve marketing returns has launched in Australia and New Zealand, hiring James Whitbread, formerly of Flashtalking and DoubleVerify, as its first country manager.
Scibids works with brands through Demand Side Platforms (DSPs) to build custom algorithms to make advertising decisions without relying on user tracking and profiling. It is also exploring products like optimising for attention metrics.
Whitbread is joined by Mansi Garg, who will be Commercial Director in ANZ.
“Programmatic businesses get an upfront view of the likelihood of the AI improving their results,” Whitbread said in a statement.
“But in addition to improving media efficiency, Scibids brings a huge amount of automation benefits to the trading units as well. Given the shortage of Programmatic Traders in the AUNZ market, this brings massive efficiency to the operations as well.”
The company has recently rolled out in Japan and India, as part of a rapid global expansion.
