Digital marketing firm Aperitif appoints new strategy director

Melbourne-based digital marketing agency, Aperitif, has appointed Tanja Vucic as its Strategy Director. A new mother, Vucic highlighted the fledging agency's flexible culture as a key driver of her decision to take on the role.

Vucic brings over 14 years of experience to the role, having previously worked on growth campaigns for brands such as Scanlan Theodore, Windsor Smith, and BIC.

Prior to joining Aperitif, Vucic had a successful career at WME, where she rose through the ranks to become Group Account Director. She was recognised for her success in establishing new digital service departments and managing acquisitions, securing Employee of the Year at NexiGen in 2022.

"As a working Mum, finding a senior leadership role that allowed me to balance my professional ambitions with my desire to spend as much time as possible raising my little girl was incredibly important. I'm grateful to be part of an organisation that prioritises that balance and supports its employees in achieving their goals," Vucic said.

Aperitif Agency was founded by former Airwallex heavyweight Joe Romeo and his wife, ex-Global E-Commerce Marketing Manager of Frank Body, Isabelle Romeo.

"We were very specific about the type of person we wanted to join our senior leadership team. As a boutique agency, we prioritise quality over quantity when it comes to hires and are proud to have secured amazing talent because of our ability to offer flexible working arrangements," said Romeo.

"At Aperitif, we’re committed to fostering a culture of inclusivity and flexibility, where our team members are empowered to thrive both at work and at home. By prioritising work-life balance and offering flexible working arrangements, we can create a more equitable and supportive workplace while attracting the very best talent in the industry, something we’re celebrating as a fledging agency," he said.

Aperitif Agency has plans to double its forecasted revenue in 2024 and continue its growth in Australia and the UK.
