Wondercraft unveils AI 'Ad Studio' for end-to-end audio ad production

Creative audio studio Wondercraft has launched what it claims to be the world's first AI 'Ad Studio' for end-to-end audio ad production. The product is designed to assist creative teams at agencies, studios, and brands in producing, iterating, and translating studio-quality audio ads in seconds.

Dubbed 'Canva for Audio', Wondercraft emerged from Beta in February this year and has since attracted 40,000 users globally. The Ad Studio allows users to write copy and scripts from scratch or generate ideas using a library of prompts, choose from hundreds of voice options, edit voice speed, and add music and sound effects. It also enables collaboration with built-in commenting and approval workflows, and localises audio ads for multiple markets.

Wondercraft was founded by former Palantir engineers Dimitris Nikolaou and Youssef Rizk, and former COO at Acast and executive at Spotify and iHeartmedia, Oskar Serrander. The platform enables anyone to script, voice, and produce audio for podcasts, ads, and audiobooks in any language, simply by typing.

In February this year, Wondercraft announced a $3m Seed round led by Will Ventures, Y Combinator, Eleven Labs, Steven Bartlett, and other angels. The company operates globally from offices in London and New York.

"We’re finally making it possible for brands to produce audio at the speed of culture. This is a big update: audio and voice-over creation is at Wondercraft users' fingertips. What has notoriously been a lengthy and expensive process can now be accomplished in minutes, at a fraction of the cost with no compromise on quality. Creatives can produce endless variations of copy, voices, music, sfx and languages, meaning ad campaigns can be tailored and deployed across multiple markets with ease. By streamlining creative production we're enabling brands and agencies to explore innovative ideas which will help the audio industry grow. We want to see podcast, radio, and music-streaming companies move into a position where they can compete with the likes of Alphabet, Meta and Tiktok in the advertising world. Today marks a huge step in that direction," said co-founder of Wondercraft, Oskar Serrander.

The platform is already being utilised by production studios including Audacia Audio, Acast, and Audio Ad Pro, and is being trialled by many of the world's leading audio brands.

"At Audacia Audio we’ve found Wondercraft to be an indispensable partner in our audio advertising campaigns. Their intuitive interface simplifies the process of crafting professional audio adverts in any language. From copywriting to voice cloning, translation and background music selection, their tools provide unparalleled flexibility and quality. The technology has enabled us to create a quantity and quality of audio ads for clients we could not have come close to otherwise, so our clients can focus their energy and budgets on marketing and monetisation. Our clients have been excited and receptive to the power of this new technology to drive fast audio ad production and iteration for multiple international markets and customer segments," said CEO at Audacia Audio, Kym Treasure.
