BBC Earth experience: An immersive journey through our planet's wonders

The Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre is currently hosting an immersive audio-visual and interactive experience from BBC Earth that has already sold over 100,000 tickets.

The experience, featuring footage and narration by David Attenborough from the hit television documentary series 'Seven Worlds, One Planet' by BBC Studios Natural History Unit, has been extended until April 28, 2024, due to high demand.

The experience offers a 360-degree audio-visual journey through the seven distinct continents and their unique wildlife and landscapes. Interactive breakout zones allow visitors to explore the earth’s unique ecosystems and creatures. The experience caters to all ages with Kids Passport activities, adult Twilight Evenings, Senior Mornings, Pram Sessions, disability-friendly Relaxed Sessions, and additional experiences for school groups with sustainability experts.

'Seven Worlds, One Planet' was the BBC’s most-watched factual TV show of the year in the UK and the most popular BBC natural history series in eight years to be screened in Australia. The series took viewers on a journey that celebrated the beauty of life on each of the seven continents but also highlighted the many challenges faced by nature in the modern world.

The BBC Earth Experience aims to inspire visitors to protect the planet through spectacular footage and an immersive experience. Melbourne-founded and B-Corp certified small group adventure company, Intrepid Travel, is the headline sponsor of the event.

BBC Studios is a commercial subsidiary of the BBC Group with profits (EBITDA) of £226 million on sales of £1.6bn (21/22). BBC Studios Natural History Unit produces iconic natural history programmes, such as 'Blue Planet II' and 'Planet Earth II', which have been watched by more than a billion people globally.

Moon Eye Productions, backed by Leon Ramaker and John Mulder, launched their debut show in London with the aspiration to inspire and create positivity.

The BBC Earth Experience will run until 28 April 2024 at the Melbourne Convention and Exhibition Centre. Ticket prices range from $28.90 for juniors (3-14 years) to $44.90 for adults. Family of 4 (2 Adults 2 Junior) tickets are priced at $115.60 ($28.90 per ticket).
