The CEO of Havas PR Australia, Simone Gupta, has announced she will step down from the group this month to work on a new project.
The move, which Havas says it fully supports, leaves the group on the hunt for a new CEO of One Green Bean, Red Havas, Havas Blvd and Organic. Those teams will report directly into Global Chairman of the Havas PR Global Collective, James Wright, until new leadership is found.
Havas said Gupta had been an industry leader and had grown the agencies through new business and healthy client relationships.
She has been “a leader of integration, innovation and DE&I across Havas Village, which she has successfully co-captained with fellow CEOs, Laura Aldington and Virginia Hyland”, Havas said in a statement.
“We have known about Sim’s plans for a while now and are very appreciative of the strong leadership that Simone has consistently delivered over her time at Havas,” Wright said.
“I have always enjoyed the relationship we built together as we continued to lead and evolve in the Australian PR landscape with our great agency brands and client work. We wish her the very best with her new project.”
She leaves “in November”.
