Tonic Media Network nabs Medium Rare's Lizza Gebilagin as new head of content

Tonic Media Network has appointed Lizza Gebilagin as its new head of content. Gebilagin joins the health and wellbeing media network with over 20 years of omnichannel media experience, most recently serving as associate content director for Medium Rare.

Previously, Gebilagin has served as head of lifestyle for Mamamia and editor in chief of Women's Health Australia, as well as senior editorial roles across News Corp Australia, Bauer Media and Pacific Magazines.

In her new role, she will lead content across Tonic's 360 suite of products and services, including Tonic Television, Tonic Digital Panels, Aboriginal Health Television, and mydoctor.com.au.

"Throughout my career, I’ve been passionate about creating content that empowers people to transform their lives. I’m proud to join Tonic and build on co-founder Dr. Norman Swan’s incredible foundation to continue to bridge the gap in health literacy," said Gebilagin.

Tonic Media Network was created in collaboration with health professionals and out-of-home specialists, with the mission to improve the health and wellbeing of all Australians. The network's assets are located inside 4,400 point-of-care environments, reaching 16 million+ health consumers each month.

"Tonic is committed to harnessing the power of media to drive positive change in the health landscape of Australia. Lizza’s extensive experience and innovative approach to content creation make her an invaluable addition to our team as we continue to grow our reach and influence, amplifying our health and wellness communications and ensuring we engage with those who need it the most," said CEO of Tonic Media Network, Richard Silverton.
