Marketer steps down,
After years at art's forefront,
New chapter begins.
MONA's Robbie Brammall exits after eight years in 'the best job in marketing'
The head marketer at the Museum of Old and New Art (MONA) has called it quits after eight years with the Tasmania art institution.
"After eight years I've decided to leave the best job in marketing. Yep, I'm leaving Mona," Robbie Brammall said in a LinkedIn post on Wednesday.
Brammall joined MONA as Director of Marketing and Communications in 2016, and helped establish the art gallery's in-house agency.
"I had a great chat about Mona's future with owner and maths nerd David Walsh, and as per usual he wants to do some hardcore experimenting. So it feels like the right time to grab my 80s resort-wear visor, a final pint of absinthe, and create some space for someone else to work their magic," continued Brammall.
"Huge love and gratitude to David Walsh, CEOs Patrick Kelly and Philippa Holmes and the whole Mona marketing team. You never really leave the cult, you just have to hand back your keys to David's wine bunker."
Brammall plans to take a break before commencing the search for his next gig.
