Neither the wood nor the trees: Rock Posters creates tree-less paper for greener campaigns

By Freya Morris

“Over the years, artists such as Jack Johnson and John Butler emerged as pioneers by adopting sustainable practices," Marcus Seal, General Manager of Rock Posters, says.

Street posters are going green. Australia’s biggest street poster network has introduced a new paper made, it claims, without a single tree having been cut down.

What you need to know:

  • Australia’s largest national poster network, Rock Posters, has created a new poster product made entirely from waste paper.
  • “Revive Laser” paper means advertisers can run campaigns that reduce their carbon footprint and haven't resulted in trees being cut down.

Australia’s biggest street poster company says advertisers can now run campaigns using paper made "without trees".

Rock Posters, an independent out of home company that started as a printer promoting musicians and comedians, says it has created “Revive Laser” paper, which it describes as a better alternative to partially recycled paper.

Advertisers can choose to run campaign using posters made from recycled wastepaper, meaning no trees are cut down, no freight is needed and carbon emissions are reduced.

Rock Posters says it developed the product with paper company, Spicers, and it represents a move towards more sustainable out of home advertising.
