Stream joins Alliance Outdoor Media Group, network says more firms incoming
Stream Outdoor has joined Alliance Outdoor Media Group, the collective aiming to take on Australia's big three out of home firms by pooling assets across the Eastern Seaboard. They say more members are in the wings.
What you need to know:
- Alliance is bidding for 20-30 per cent share of large format market across Eastern Seaboard.
- Has more than 400 large format screens collectively.
- Stream brings more inventory across Queensland.
Alliance Outdoor Media Group have added Stream Outdoor to its network, an alliance of independents bidding to become the fourth major out of home player in Australia, initially by combining assets across the Eastern Seaboard.
Stream brings more large-format roadside assets to the group, with screens across Queensland’s regional town centres from the Gold Coast to Cairns.
“Our strategy to reach regional audiences with a network of high-quality digital billboard has created unique opportunities and we are delighted to bring this offering into the alliance,” said Stream Outdoor MD, Colin Mitchell.
Alliance Outdoor National Sales Director Daniel McConochie said Stream joining the network would bring greater value to agencies.
“Queensland’s regional cities are known for being a very sought-after audience and with a large proportion of the population living outside of Metro Brisbane, this forms an integral part of our reach capabilities,” he said.
The Alliance members suggested more firms will be joining their ranks.
Alliance Outdoor Media Group members said the addition of Stream was a key part of their growth strategy and hinted that more growth is on its way.
“We welcome the opportunity to add another independent business, with expert local knowledge and a clear commitment to build the highest quality inventory,” said Chris Tyquin, joint boss of Goa Billboards, one of the Alliance’s founder members.
“Change is happening in market right now, and we look forward to welcoming even more new members into the alliance in the future,” he said.
