Ideally secures $5.5m funding for rapid expansion and product development
Consumer insights platform, Ideally, has successfully secured a funding round of $5.5 AUD million. The round was led by OIF Ventures and Icehouse Ventures, with the funds earmarked for supporting Ideally's local growth, U.S. expansion, and product development.
Launched in 2023, Ideally aims to revolutionise the way brands and marketers approach ideation, marketing campaigns, and product development. The platform provides quick turnaround consumer surveys, delivering real-time insights within 24 hours.
Simon Bookallil, CEO & Co-Founder of Bashful Group, an agency, lauded Ideally's innovation, saying, "Ideally is a groundbreaking innovation tool that transforms the research process for modern marketers. It allows brands and ideas to iterate within 24 hours, reducing timelines from months to just days. This efficiency is a game changer in today’s fast-paced market, where agility is key."
The platform is already in use by 115 customers and 25 agencies, including Asahi, Afterpay, Nine, M&C Saatchi, Ogilvy, and Thinkerbell.
Robbie Paul, CEO of Icehouse Ventures, expressed his admiration for Ideally's growth since their initial investment last year. He said, "We’ve been very impressed with Ideally’s growth since our initial investment last year. Of the 150+ software companies we’ve funded, the average time to $1 million in revenue is four years and $5 million takes close to six years. Ideally passed the $1 million mark in half the average time and is on track to hit $5 million just as rapidly."
Founded in New Zealand by James Donald, Brendan Cervin, and Joshua Nu’u-Steele in partnership with Previously Unavailable and TRA Labs, Ideally has offices in Auckland, Sydney, and Melbourne.
James Donald, Co-founder and CEO of Ideally, expressed his optimism for the future, stating, "While we’ve had a very successful first year, we’re only just getting started on our goal of providing marketers and creatives around the world with the resources they need to create work that truly makes a difference."
