More senior exits at dentsu

Dentsu has confirmed the exits of another group of senior executives, adding to a growing tally of departures from the Japanese holding company in recent weeks.

The latest to go are dentsu Media national head of growth, Scott McCaffrey, group strategy and planning director, Paul Baker and Carat chief strategy officer, Danni Wright.

Wright is reportedly headed to Publicis wrapping up a 15 year stint at dents, meanwhile Baker closes on three years with the agency to join another holding company.

Wright, who has racked up a collective 15 years at Carat, is off to Mamamia, where she has been named as head of strategy.

“It has been quite the year of evolution for us here at dentsu, and Carat is of course a part of that," said dentsu chief client officer Fiona Johnston. "Danni, PB and Scott are some of our favourite people and have all been a huge part of Carat, and dentsu, some up to 14 years! Of course we are sad to see them go but they leave a great legacy of strategic smarts and business nous. We know they are all moving on to good places and I’m sure they will do well. We are focused on our future as an agency, and we already have plans in place. But right now, it is about celebrating the work and efforts of Danni, PB and Scott.”

The exits come only a week after dentsu ANZ rolled out a new consolidated offering, with upwards of 100 jobs lost to restructuring efforts.
