Aware Super turns GWS Giants pink in new partnership

Aware Super has has become the latest partner of the Greater Western Sydney (GWS) GIANTS, joining the AFL club as the its official superannuation partner.

The pink brand of Aware Super will be prominently featured on the AFL shorts from round 20 through to the end of 2026.

Aware Super has a strong presence in Western Sydney, providing superannuation and retirement services to nearly 200,000 members locally. The partnership is set to benefit both the GWS GIANTS members and fans, with the introduction of superannuation and community support programs.

In a playful tease of the announcement, the GIANTS' social channels turned pink. The partnership aims to provide meaningful support to the community and give back to the members of both Aware Super and the broader GIANTS family.

"We’re thrilled to welcome Aware Super to our GIANTS family and see them feature prominently on our AFL shorts for the rest of this season and into 2025 and 2026,” said GIANTS CEO, David Matthews.

Aware Super CEO, Deanne Stewart, said: “At Aware Super, we aim to be super helpful not only in the services we provide for people saving for retirement, but in working to strengthen the communities in which our members live, work and retire. This is a very exciting new partnership for us. We are keenly aware of the significant number of members that we have in Western Sydney. Our partnership with the GIANTS will help provide meaningful support to the community and give back to our members and the broader GIANTS family.”

The partnership will also see the expansion of community programs in Western Sydney, including financial literacy information sessions and a 'Super Helpful Round' each year.

“We’re delighted to further strengthen the Western Sydney communities in which our members live, work and retire by working with the GIANTS to roll out programs such as financial literacy to help people deal with cost-of-living pressures," Stewart said.
