Chronos Agency expands in Australia, cites rising demand for lifecycle marketing services

Chronos Agency, which positions itself as a lifecycle marketing agency, has broadened its footprint in the Australian market, spurred by robust demand from local businesses for email, SMS, and other retention marketing services.

The agency said its expansion come as the commerce sector grapples with economic uncertainty, inflation, and a cost-of-living crisis, prompting businesses to shift from media buying approaches to retention and lifecycle marketing strategies.

Chronos Agency has supported over 400 businesses globally, with 20% of these being Australian businesses. The company's early success with client The Oodie, where it boosted overall email revenue by 87%, served as a stepping stone into the Australian market. Since 2020, Chronos' Australian customer base has grown organically through positive word of mouth and increasing awareness of the benefits of retention and lifecycle marketing.

To oversee the Australian market and lead the company's growth in the region, Chronos Agency has appointed Nina Jung as its Chief Revenue Officer. Jung brings over 15 years of experience across the marketing, growth, and startup sectors, having held senior leadership roles at MadeComfy, Delivery Hero, and HotelsCombined.com.

"Acquisition-focused growth is what's prevalent, but forward-thinking marketers are focusing on personalisation and retention to grow revenue. With privacy concerns and the shift towards using first-party data, the amalgamation of acquisition and lifecycle marketing is the right way to grow businesses in my view," said Jung.

"Chronos Agency ticked a lot of boxes for me-not just in what they do, but also in their global presence, expertise, unparalleled service levels proven by many testimonials, and incredibly skilled teams driving the machine. I'm excited to join the team and lead the way in supporting Aussie marketers and entrepreneurs in the ecommerce ecosystem, helping them achieve their growth ambitions both nationally and globally."

In the first half of 2024, Chronos claimed it's experienced 50% growth in new deals created compared to the same period in 2023.

One of Chronos' customers, Australian Furniture Warehouse, saw profits grow almost six-fold year-on-year and unlocked new revenue opportunities with the help of Chronos' campaign emails. The company attributes 15% of its revenue to email marketing, with a single email generating $8,000 in revenue in some instances.

"By integrating global best practices with deep local market knowledge, we provide Australian companies the tools to not only thrive domestically but also successfully venture into international markets. The opportunity to help Australian businesses go global aligns perfectly with our mission to deliver tailored lifecycle marketing services that drive growth, engagement, and profitability across diverse platforms and regions," said Joshua Chin, Co-Founder and CEO of Chronos Agency.
