30 execs picked for Marketing Academy’s 2022 Scholarship Program – see the list of next generation leaders here
Executives from brands, agencies, media owners and start-ups have been named in The Marketing Academy Australia’s Scholarship Program for 2022. They will receive mentoring from some of the most senior marketers in the industry and join intensive classes and boot camps in a bid to build the next generation of industry leaders.

- The Marketing Academy Australia has announced the 30 industry executives who will be the 2022 Scholars.
- They will receive one-on-one mentoring from some of the biggest names in the marketing business, as well as attend three “boot camps”, see an Executive Coach, and join lectures and masterclasses.
Thirty marketing executives from brands, agencies, media owners and start-ups have been selected to join The Marketing Academy’s Scholarship Program in 2022.
The program includes one-to-one mentoring from board-level industry executives like Kristi Woolrych, KFC CMO; Anubha Sahasrabuddhe, CMO of Lion; Telstra CMO Jeremy Nicholas; ANZ CMO Sweta Mehra; Arnott’s CMO Jenni Dill; Tourism Australia CMO Susan Coghill; Peter Horgan, CEO of Omnicom Media Group; Stuart Tucker, CMO of Hipages; IPG Mediabrands CEO Mark Coad; Brent Smart, CMO of IAG; Coles CMO Lisa Ronson; and Leisa Bacon, the ABC’s Director of Audiences.
It's the eighth year of the program, which has 210 alumni.
Scholars receive mentoring, are assigned an Executive Coach, attend three “Boot Camps”, and join lectures and masterclasses from global experts.
“It is deeply gratifying to see that the marketing, media and advertising industry remains committed to developing the skills and leadership capability of its talent through its ongoing support of The Marketing Academy in Australia,” The Marketing Academy Founder & Global CEO, Sherilyn Shackell, said.

OMD co-CEO Laura Nice, a 2020 Scholar, said in a statement: “Program doesn’t do it justice – it’s membership to a money can’t buy club, some would say cult and they’d be right.”
The program is funded by Google, Commonwealth Bank, KFC, IAG, Salesforce, Deloitte Digital and Dentsu.
