Cadbury unveils Dairy Milk Velvet, an evolution of its classic chocolate block

Cadbury, a staple in three out of four Australian homes, has announced the launch of a new product, Cadbury Dairy Milk Velvet.

This new range is an evolution of its classic Dairy Milk blocks, designed to cater to the changing taste preferences of Australian consumers. The announcement was made in celebration of World Chocolate Day on Sunday, 7 June.

The Cadbury Dairy Milk Velvet range will feature two blocks – Milk Chocolate and Milk Chocolate with Hazelnut. The new range boasts 40% more cocoa and 25% more milk, aiming to deliver a heightened chocolate taste. The product is targeted at milk chocolate lovers seeking a smoother, more chocolatey taste but with the same quality they know and expect from Cadbury Dairy Milk.

Katrina Watson, Senior Marketing Manager at Mondelēz International ANZ, the parent company of Cadbury, said, “Catering to Australians’ emerging taste preferences, Cadbury Dairy Milk Velvet is for milk chocolate lovers seeking a smoother, more chocolatey taste but with the same quality they know and expect from Cadbury Dairy Milk.”

Cadbury Dairy Milk Velvet will be available nationwide from Monday the 29th of July, 2024, retailing at $6.00 RRP. Cadbury has been a beloved brand for over 100 years and has launched many products to excite and delight Australians. Mondelēz International, Inc., one of the world’s largest snacking companies, operates in more than 150 countries.

This new product launch underscores Cadbury's commitment to innovation and its ability to adapt to the evolving tastes of Australian consumers. As the brand continues to expand its product offerings, it remains to be seen how this new range will be received by chocolate lovers across the country.
