Enterprise work management platform Smartsheet has launched an AI tool that generates sheet-level metrics or visual charts based on conversational prompts, with future plans to derive insights from data across thousands of active projects and data stores.

The new capability as part of a suite of new AI-driven updates and resource management features announced at ENGAGE London.

Also announced was an AI formula builder that creates advanced formulas based on natural language descriptions, and two new workload tracking features - Workload Heatmap and Workload Schedule. These features are designed to help enterprises make strategic decisions based on their data, addressing the challenge of disparate and complex data tools.

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is among the customers utilising Smartsheet to simplify their data management. Smartsheet's new AI tools and resource management features are now generally available. They are integrated into the Smartsheet platform, enabling enterprises to make smart decisions based on their data. Smartsheet's AI tools are developed according to its principles for responsible AI, ensuring customer data is not commingled or used in third-party AI model training sets.
