Former Bullfrog partners launch new agency concept
Former Bullfrog alum Matilda Hobba, Simon Bagnasco, Alex Speakman, and Mac Wright, have opened the doors to their new agency, Pembleton.
Pitched as a 'a clubhouse for ideas', the agency will deliver creative and strategic work for clients on a project basis, inviting brands to collaborate with senior talent in a flexible and efficient environment. The concept is said to respond to the growing number of clients rejecting retainer models, and the in-housing of agency-style capabilities.
“We wanted to create a place where everything was stripped back; A team of four senior people, across three key disciplines, working hand-in-hand with those closest to the business problem, on a project basis. A place where brands and brand custodians receive the creative and strategic focus they need, from experienced talent they know can deliver. All without layers or fluff," said Hobba.
All four founders recently wrapped up a short stint as partners as independent creative agency Bullfrog. Hobba joined the agency in early 2023 after six years at The Taboo Group. She was joined several months later at Bullfrog by Bagnasco, Speakman and Wright, after spending seven years working together at Saatchi & Saatchi. Before finishing up at the multinational, Bagnasco was head of creativity, Speakman was chief strategy officer and Wright was senior creative.
